A quick glance out of the corner of one’s eye over the left navigation column of headlines will tell all who are interested in this subject how the leading politicians and office holders of the City of Gothenburg went about to snatch the project from its original entrepreneurs. How they said NO to commercial sponsors and went ahead to fund the project with taxpayers’ money instead, since it is that which is readily accessible to them and how they now try to shut all possibilities to public scrutiny of the financial transactions within the project.

If they are successful in this - and so far they have been - they would have created a sealed environment, free from the public eye. An absolute territory of their own in which they can fund themselves or anyone else to any amount of money they so please, without having to explain to anyone else for the motivation. We can see this might feel like a brilliant retirement plan ... but can this sealed off environment be a legal possibility?

Well, possible but not legal, but they don't seems to be bothered with that kind of petty details.

The legal construction of the owenership of the company SOIC AB is to be entirely owned by The Swedish East Indiaman Gotheborg III Foundation. The company only reports to and take orders from its owner - the Foundation. That is the first level. The second level is The Board of Directors of the Foundation, which was to report to and be elected annually by the original Founders and here is where the leading politicians and office holders of the City of Gothenburg have "put the scissors" in the legal "chain of command" we created, by just not calling for any more elections, after they got elected themselves.

They have also arranged that mostly the same people sit on the board of directors for both the SOIC AB and the Foundation, so now the two organizations have created a water-tight environment where they only report to themselves, and can do what they please.

When we have knocked on their doors and mentioned they have forgotten to send out invitations to the annual election, we have heard nothing but our own voice echo back through the uncomfortable silence in the corridors of power in the City of Gothenburgh.

There is no comforting circumstances anywhere in this. Through their political and economic influence they "own" the newspapers, the courts and the authorities put there to check on public misbehaviour. No individual are strong enough to put their career at stake by voicing out the obvios - the leading politicians of Gothenburg are dishonest and a shame for their city and their country. Their own lack of honour might need the goodwill of the project, but they tarnish the project by their presence and their names.

Their seizsure of somebody else’s ideas and initial sacrifices is blatant and repulsive to the core. What’s even more audacious and disturbing is how swift they handed over the bill of this massive project to the taxpayers, instead of to the commercial sponsors that initially were more then willing to pay for it.

This whole saga has been nauseating to experience - like standing in front of a snake devouring a rat. No feeling of shame can be seen, and no sense of morality. They don't even have the good sence of saying "thank you". They just try to hide the fact that they have stolen the entire project. How dumb can they get? The ship is forty meters long, duh, you CAN'T hide it and EVERYBODY knows it was Anders Wästfelt who started it and that he got ripped off of it.

This disparagement is not new. It has been put forth from the first day we saw the insidious intentions of the "Gothfathers" to steer away from the original intentions and purpose of the project. Our voicing out for help and justice was then called, a "conflict" yet this word has little meaning today. By no means it encompasses the magnitude of the paradoxical quandary in which they have landed themselves; a gridlock dilemma that they have willingly put themselves into from the time they pinched off the project. Now they will have to deal with it.

They will find it hard to conceal the filthy patina of dishonesty their own actions have given them.

They will find that future sponsors of the project will question the credibility of the people behind it. Can they trust their money, time and efforts to people who have so transparently and unabashedly betrayed and made use of others before and … will they not do it again ... to you this time?

They will find that instead of the project running on commercial funds in all straight forward competitiveness of market forces, the project will remain in need of public funding and in need of help from forced and unwilling "sponsors" who will find themselves giving of their own goodwill to the project instead of having goodwill in return.

They will find it difficult to use the ship for creating earnest business contacts too, for their potential business partners will know the truth and therefore know that the project is led by people who lack dignity, integrity as well as the ability to see any value or purpose in honesty.

They will find that the public will realize not only do they lack integrity, … they also lack imagination and brilliance enough of their own to come up with their own project and set sail to it. Rather, they have sapped off the work of others and pathetically in vain labeled it their own.

They will find that they have become known as the ones who will grab as much as they can, while they can, disregarding the honor this project could have brought to all involved. In that they have marred not only themselves, but the innocent in their circle who will be stained by association.

It will finally be tragic to see this ship sail under the flag of the City of Gothenburg, for it will bear the shadow of a scull and crossbones under the lion… and aptly so, since pirates have descended upon this project and are now in charge.

The only salvaging point of this project will be when this vulturous saga of the "Gothfathers" will be revealed to all through the power embedded in the grandness of the original idea.

The school children that grow up today will one day realize that the reason they had tap water for lunch and was forced to use second or third hand textbooks in school, was that their trusted politicians and leaders squandered public funds to glorify themselves instead of letting a healthy project develop itself in the hands of those who created it.
