In the spring of 1743 the Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg went directly to Cadiz to pick up five tons of silver coins and take in supplies. Cadiz was visited regularly every year with few exceptions. At other occasions Swedish East Indiamen visited Lorient, Le Havre, Margate and Dover. London, Amsterdam, Paris and Lisboa was also of vital importance to the participant in the trade, for cultural and financial reasons.
